Flame Lily Arts is a distinguished professional cultural performing arts company established in 2009 and based in the United Kingdom. For over a decade, the company has captivated audiences globally with authentic southern African culture and traditions through dynamic dance performances and soul-stirring harmonious singing.
The company masterfully blends traditional and contemporary elements, specialising primarily in Ndebele and Zulu cultural expressions. Their repertoire includes traditional dances such as Isitshikitsha, Muchongoyo, Indlamu, and contemporary Pantsula and Gumboot dances, enhanced by live drumming, singing, and marimba accompaniment.
At the heart of Flame Lily Arts is their acclaimed African choir, delivering traditional Mbube-style harmonies in multiple indigenous languages including Ndebele, Shona, Xhosa, Zulu, and Setswana.
This year, Flame Lily Arts will be performing at Zambezi Fest, bringing their vibrant celebration of southern African culture to this exciting festival that unites Zimbabweans and South Africans for a weekend of music, fun, and friendship.
