interactive storytelling experience created and performed by professional storytellers Andy Copps and John Kirk.

Returning to Zambezi Fest 2026 by popular demand, this captivating family show brings together traditional Southern African fables, colourful characters and unforgettable animal tales in a lively performance that celebrates the rich storytelling traditions of the continent. Drawing inspiration from Southern African folklore, including stories rooted in KhoiSan traditions, the performance explores timeless themes of respect, resilience, community and caring for the natural world.

Unlike a traditional theatre performance, Heads & Tails invites audiences of all ages to become part of the story. Through audience participation, music, movement, creative props and plenty of laughter, every performance is a unique and immersive experience where children and adults alike help bring the tales to life. The show has been specially designed to be inclusive and accessible, making it enjoyable for families, young children and audiences with a wide range of abilities.
